The Curriculum Initiative Program includes several exciting free online events:

  • Webinar: Panel Discussion followed by a Q&A about Curriculum for Church and Community Based ESL Programs. August 22, 2024 at 3PM EST. Grow your understanding of the types of curriculum available for adult ESL programs and how to select a curriculum that fits the needs of your students & is in line with your program’s purposes & resources. The panel will also discuss how to use curriculum effectively. (This webinar is offered in partnership between CELEA’s Community-based ESL Group and TESOL Ministry.)
  • Online Curriculum Showcase, Saturday, November 2 beginning at 12, noon EST. Various publishers will be showcasing their curriculum for Adult ESL learners. In addition to the live showcase with Q&A, we’ll have a webpage with links to all the curriculum in the showcase.
  • Webinar: How to Use AI Tools to Create Supplemental Material for Your Lessons – followed by a Q&A. Friday, December 6 at 12 noon, EST. (This webinar is offered in partnership between CELEA’s Community-based ESL Group and TESOL Ministry.)

We’ll also be launching Phase 2 of the ESL Curriculum Exchange, which will host quality ESL curriculum and supplemental material shared by members of the community, reviewed for quality, and available for download for a fee or free.
